Introducing Virtual Buss Compressors
Virtual Buss Compressors is a unique collection of three versatile processors modeled from some of the most classic mix buss compressors of all time. Careful attention was paid to recreating the unique nonlinearities of the circuit paths that give each compressor its distinct tone – including their transformers, tubes, VCA’s, amplifiers, phase distortions, harmonic distortions and timing. VBC is perfect for adding a professional final touch to your mixes.

How Does Virtual Buss Compressors Work?

Each of the compressors in this suite are modelled on different classic analog compressors, each with different sonic characteristics. These modelled plugins were not simply based on the specific compression topology of their analog predecessors with regards to timing and compression curves. Some of the analog units also had modulations, dynamic harmonic distortions, dynamic phase distortion, saturation, crosstalk, and more. These artifacts add a sonic imprint to the compression, therefore every single detail was modelled exactly in order to perfectly reproduce the character and sonic imprint of the analog compressors. When you hear the three VBC compressors, you’ll notice a depth, life, and analog ‘vibe’ that you’ve likely not heard before in a plugin compressor.
WHY VIRTUAL BUSS COMPRESSORS IS SUCH A BIG DEAL

- Three unique-sounding dynamic processors based on classic analog units
- FG-RED: the red-faced compressor used often by Chris Lord-Alge
- FG-GREY: the classic British “4000 series console compressor”
- FG-MU: based on elements of the iconic Fairchild 670 tube compressor
- Can be used as separate plugins in your DAW or in the Virtual Buss Compressors Rack
